It's automatic now — as automatic as locking the front door, and it takes less effort than lifting the shredder ever did. Pick up the box, roll it twice, into the bin. I use it on everything with my name on it.
I gave one to my neighbour — the one from the start of this. She still has the old shredder, unplugged, in the closet. Hasn't needed it since.
